LIKELY THE BEST OF MANY MEMORABLE ESPN PROMOS was the shot of John Clayton doing a report then a cut-away to his “studio” in his bedroom. He removed his mock suit, and underneath he was wearing a Slayer black T-shirt. He unfurled a fake pony and yell at his mom that he done with his report.

It was a hilarious promo. ESPN was genius at their promos. I wonder if, in the wake of ESPN firing most if not all its talented pros it has decided to fire the people responsible for the those spots of brilliance. I miss the old ESPN – the ESPN of funny promos, sports commentary and sports.
